BANGALORE: Those who are waiting for admission to engineering colleges may have to wait for another couple of days.
The State Government has decided to postpone the CET engineering counselling dates by one or two days following delay in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) permission to many of the engineering colleges.A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the Higher Education Department officials chaired by Higher Education Minister Dr V S Acharya. According to the original schedule, CET counselling for engineering colleges was supposed to start from June 27, 2011.

As on Wednesday, only 140 of 189 engineering colleges have received AICTE sanctions.

"The government will decide the fresh dates after AICTE gives permission and we will get a clear picture," official said. He also said that they will come to a conclusion in the next two to three days.
