Mumbai: Choreographer-turned-actor Salman Yusuff Khan was injured when his stunt went horribly wrong during a performance at the Big Star Entertainment Awards.
Salman, along with Remo D'Souza, Prabhudheva and his team of upcoming film "ABCD Any Body Can Dance", was performing during the awards ceremony Sunday, when his acrobatic entry went wrong and he fell onto the floor.
The act had to be stopped and Salman was immediately taken to Kokilaben Hospital. Though he is fine, Salman has bruises all over his body.
"At the awards ceremony, 30 seconds into the act and Salman fell down from a height about two storeys. We had to rush him to Kokilaben Hospital. Doctors gave him anesthesia and took X-rays. He also had to do CT scan and MRI," Rucha Pathak, senior executive director, Studios, Disney UTV said in a statement.
The team had to carry on with the performance without Salman - and as soon as it was over, they rushed to the hospital and stayed with him.
"Remo and Prabhu also went to meet him. Everyone was pretty shaken up. His whole body is bruised," said Pathak
All medical reports are fine and Salman is likely to be discharged soon.
