KOCHI: District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth has said the Civil Service Tournament which will be held under the aegis of the district administration and Ernakulam District Sports Council for Government Employees will be held on Sept 15 and 16. The competitions will be held at the Maharaja’s College Ground and Regional Sports Centre, Kadavanthra. Competitions will be held in athletics, football, volley ball, basket ball, swimming, shuttle badminton and power-lifting etc. The winning teams will be qualified to participate in the State Civil Service Competition which will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from Sept 27 to 30. Those who are working in quasi government autonoumous bodies, public sector enterprises and those who have not completed six months in the service are not qualified to participate in the games, the Collector said.
