Coir expo from March 21

KOCHI: Aiming to give a boost to the domestic coir market, the Coir Board will organise the North East Expo-2012 in Guwahati, Assam. Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will inaugurate the expo. The expo will commence on March 21 and conclude on March 30. This is the first time that the Coir Board is organising such an elaborate expo. In connection with this mammoth event, a roadshow will also be arranged. The organising team includes G Balachandran, Coir Board chairman, M Kumara Raja, Coir Board secretary and M Kumaraswami Pillai.
