MANGALORE: A team of members from Bihar Legislative Assembly interacted with officials of Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat (DKZP) as part of their study tour on Thursday.The team comprising nine MLAs interacted with officials on a variety of rural development projects initiated by DKZP at the circuit house.Head of the team, Anandi Prasad Yadav addressed the gathering and acknowledged that the panchayat raj system in Bihar has been in a bad state for many years.The study tour is part of a grand ambition to rejuvenate the panchayat raj system in Bihar, he also said that the team is visiting parts of Karnataka, Goa and Kerala.The team will compile the best practices of the panchayat raj and will present it in the Bihar assembly, he informed.He pointed out that revenue generating sources like the tax system, water supply and power system functioned meticulously in Karnataka.DKZP CEO K N Vijayaprakash shared information with the team on different developmental projects initiated in the district and Mangalore in particular.
