Chhindwara (MP): A five-year-old boy, who was found dead in Asaram Bapu’s ashram in Chindwara on Friday, might have been killed by a hosteller, police sources told CNN-IBN.
Vedanta Manmodhe was found in a school bathroom with his head in a bucket of water.
The doctors, S P Jain and D Sakalle, who conducted the post-mortem termed it as an 'unnatural' death.
“It is not a case of natural death,” doctors told reporters. “However, there was no external or internal injury mark on his body," they confirmed.
Since it was not a case of natural death, only the viscera report will reveal the exact cause of the death, the doctors said.
Besides these two, local doctors P K Shrivastava and K C Jain were also part of the team that conducted the post-mortem.
Vedanta is one of the two boys who have died under mysterious circumstances at Asaram Bapu’s Chinndwara gurukul. Bodies of the two students were found within a span of 48 hours in the same bathroom and at around the same time at the Ashram.
The school teacher Manohar Jaiswal and the boys' hostel warden had been detained by police on Friday.
With this death, the number of children died at ashrams run by the godman has gone up to four in the last one month.
Even as an enquiry had been ordered, the godman said that he is being framed.
