The accused driver has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
New Delhi: An 18-year-old teenager was killed by a speeding dumper in Delhi's Lajpat Nagar after he was dragged for nearly nine kilometres. The tragedy took place on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday at around 2 am.
The victim was going to drop two of his friends when the accident took place. His friends, who were with him on the scooty, hung on to the side of the truck during the entire ordeal.
The accused driver has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
The accident took place a day after a 35-year-old business consultant died after being mowed down by a Mercedes car allegedly driven by a teenager in Delhi's Civil Lines area.
