New Delhi: The Ludhiana cops were officially treated to the matinee show of the racy police-thief thriller Dhoom II on Saturday in an attempt to de-stress and inspire them into take on tough pending cases with renewed vigour.
SSP Ludhiana Amardeep Singh Rai said the special screening of the Hrithik-Abhishek starrer was organised in Aarti theatre in Ludhiana by the police for its employees and their families in appreciation of the good work done over the past year.
The movie was selected for its theme that revolved around a tough police officer's relentless crusade against a cunning and versatile thief.
"They all wanted to see this movie as members of recent gangs caught by them had told them that they had been inspired by it," said Rai to UNI.
It was essential for police personnel to be aware of latest techniques and trends being adopted by criminals to effectively counter them, he added.
