New Delhi: US President Donald Trump first stumped the internet with his ‘covfefe’ tweet and now it’s the turn of Indian students.
Trump’s infamous typo that became a neologism of sorts for his rhetorical style recently appeared in question paper set by the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for second year Master of Statistics students.
According to a report in the International Business Times, the question framed by the institute was as follows: "Mr Trump decides to post a random message on Facebook and he starts typing random sequence of letters {Uk}k>1 such that they are chosen independently and uniformly from the 26 possible English alphabets. Find out the expected time of the first appearance of the word COVFEFE."

One Twitter user even replied to one of Donald Trump’s latest tweet.
I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 2, 2017
Trump had sent a lot of people, including reporters, scurrying for dictionaries when he posted the "covfefe" tweet on May 31 this year.
The tweet, which was eventually deleted, read: "Despite the constant negative press covfefe".
Most people though he meant to write "press coverage," and it was a typo/spelling error. The strange tweet remained up for at least an hour after it first appeared (presumably Trump's press team was sleeping). More than 73,000 people retweeted the tweet in just 120 minutes, and it earned its own hashtag.
