HYDERABAD: The Crime Investigation department appealed to the general public on Friday not to fall prey to SMSes from unknown persons stating prize money of 10 lakh pounds and seeking details of their account numbers and addresses.“The SMSes are tempting and the general public are unknowingly sending their details and getting cheated by remitting certain amounts as demanded by the sender. Sometimes, they are using names of RBI, Coca-Cola and other such organisations," additional deputy general of police (Law & Order), SA Huda said. He said this is nothing but cheating and asked people not to respond to bogus SMSes.
