KOZHIKODE: SNDP Yogam former state president and social and cultural activist Dr K K Rahulan died at his son’s residence at the Jayanthi Nagar Colony here on Monday evening. He was 81. Rahulan had been under treatment for cancer for quite a long time.A native of Edamuttam in Thrissur, Rahulan came to Kozhikode a week ago for treatment at the PVS Hospital here. He was brought to his son’s house last Saturday. Rahulan, who retired as civil surgeon in 1985, was former president of the Indian Medical Association, Kerala, Sastra Sahitya Parishat, secretary of S N Trust and executive member of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi. He was also an active participant in the anti-liquor campaigns in the state. Rahulan, son of Kunhikrishnan and Lakshmi, is survived by wife Dr Saroja, sons Dr Sunil Rahulan and Dr Vigil Rahulan and daughters-in-law Dr Deepa Sunil and Shajna Vigil. The body was taken to his native place from Kozhikode late in the evening.
