Zagreb: Israel's Dudi Sela upset sixth-seeded Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic 6-3, 7-6 (2) on Wednesday to advance to the quarter-finals of the Zagreb Indoors tournament.
Sela got off to an easy start and took a 5-3 lead in the second set before Rosol broke back to force a tie break. But Sela soon moved into an early lead before closing out the match.
Lucky loser Daniel Evans of Britain, who made the draw after the late withdrawal of Radek Stepanek, defeated another Czech player, Jan Hajek, 6-3, 6-1.
Russian Andrey Kuznetsov beat 2008 champion Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine 6-4, 7-6 (8).
