Eco-friendly farm workshop from January 4

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: NABARD Chief General Manager K C Shasidhar on Tuesday released the logo of the environment-friendly farm workshop to be conducted by Subhash Palekar from January 4 to 8 at Gandhi Bhavan here. Cow is the basic feature of the farming method adopted by Subhash Palekar. This type of farming requires less investment and less intervention in soil. N Radhakrishnan, working chairman of Kerala Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, presided over the function. Prayar Gopalakrishnan and V S Harindranath, among others, attended. Prof V Ramadas welcomed the gathering and N Nanukuttan Nair proposed the vote of thanks.While delivering his speech, Shashidhar announced NABARD’s intention to support Zero Budget Farming techniques in various parts of the State in association with Gandhi Smarak Nidhi.  The fest which will be attended by over 400 farmers and experts in the field.Those interested in participating in workshops can register with Secretary, Kerala Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Thiruvananthapuram-16. `500 is the registration fee.
