I am not going to get philosophical about life but sometimes we bump into small observations that change our outlook a bit. We all want the best for ourselves but sometimes we go for the wrong things or go for it in a wrong way.
Forget about the Olympic race people try to win on the roads. People are not courteous enough to wait their chance to get into an elevator. Every one wants to be the first in everything they do.
Ever notice if you serve the same dish in different platters, people will try to take the one with the bigger piece or quantity and most of the times they are not even hungry enough.
Like most of houses I have seen, including mine the drawing rooms usually are very well kept and thoughtfully decorated but as you go beyond it's a different picture as if its not the same house. Friends of mine call it a " Punjabi culture" but I think it's about the first impression being the last one.
Try this once, whenever you have large group of family or friends over and there is time for a coffee break. Mostly in our houses we don't keep large number of coffee mugs so we obviously serve it in different cups.
Most of the people will go for the better-looking cups.
While it is but normal for people to want only the best for themselves, that is the source of our problems and stress. What all of them really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but they consciously went for the better cups while eyeing each other's cups."
"Now, if Life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change.
Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it."
So please, don't let the cups drive you...enjoy the coffee!!

There are so many things so obvious that we don't notice them. We all have our own virtues and vices. Some we can justify some we cant and some we just don't care to think about. All of us live a double life, well not as glorified as our comic book super heroes but it's a way of life we have learnt to live with.
