Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his next release Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff. The action thriller is releasing on this Eid and the makers have recently released the teaser. Well, apart from this Akshay Kumar also has another film titled Start Up. However, it was scheduled to be released in September last year but it got postponed. And now in fresh updates, the film is releasing on July 24, 2024. Pinkvilla has exclusively shared the details.
The entertainment portal mentioned in its report that Start Up will have a longer campaign with multiple asset drops leading to its release. “Start Up is the working title and the makers will be making the announcement of the new title with a video asset soon. While the film was initially slated to arrive on February 16, the makers have locked the post-T-20 World Cup window for its arrival now. The Sudha Kongara directorial is a high-on-content film that warrants a clear run and July 12 tick marks all the boxes for the date that the team was looking at,” revealed a source.
“It’s a GV Prakash Musical and the songs have turned out very well, in sync with the film’s theme. Vikram Malhotra and Suriya believe that the Akshay Kumar starrer with Sudha has the potential to strike a chord with audiences as the narration marries Akshay the star with Akshay the actor,” the source added. Interestingly, Suriya also has a cameo in this film.
It is the remake of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru. The film is a Tamil National Award-winning starring Suriya in the lead. The film was inspired by the events of G. R. Gopinath’s life, founder of the Indian low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan. The 2020 Tamil drama film was directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga, under their respective banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment. The story was conceptualised and written by Kongara. The film starred Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, and Paresh Rawal, with Mohan Babu, Urvashi, and Karunas amongst others in supporting roles.
