He said the decision to cancel the paper was taken at a meeting called by Vice Chancellor Saket Kushwaha on Friday night.

The Registrar said a three-member probe team has also been constituted into the incident of rampant cheating during examination in the college which was shown on TV channels on Friday.

The probe team has been asked to submit a report in three days after which action would be taken in accordance with Anti-cheating Act and Patna High Court order, he said.

TV footages and still photographs showed women indulging in mass copying during examination in the college.

Many examinees were shown sitting in verandah and writing answers openly from books.
