CHENNNAI : A former MP sustained head injuries after a gang attacked him at a function held in Thousand Lights police limits on Thursday. Police said Pramod Kureel, a former Rajya Sabha MP of Bahujan Samaj Party was speaking in a meeting held for Backward Classes’ Welfare Association in a building at Nungambakkam High Road, when a group of ten barged in and attacked him with a chair after creating a ruckus in the venue. The gang was upset over the comments Pramod made against BSP leader Mayawati during a meet at Delhi, Police sources said.
