Ex-serviceman ends life at hospital

KOCHI: In a dramatic incident at the Southern Naval Command, an exservice man allegedly committed suicide by slitting veins of his throat and hand. Police said the incident occurred at a hospital for exservicemen, situated in Katari Bagh quarters of the Naval Command. The deceased is Antony, 40, of Perumbavoor.
Harbour Police said they received a call around 9.30 am stating that a person had holed up in a bathroom of the hospital to commit suicide. The Police found Antony lying in a pool of blood inside the bathroom of he hospital.
