Mumbai: Director Ananth Mahadevan has used the quotes of Omar bin Laden, Osama bin Laden's son, in his latest film Red Alert: The War Within. Omar is the son of the world's most dreadful terrorist, Osama bin Laden. He is the son of Osama’s first wife.
After the twin tower attacks, Omar in an interview had confessed that he wants his father to find another way. After the last scene in the film Red Alert, there is a blackout and then the screen reads, ‘Father, find another way’- Omar to his father Osama bin Laden.
Red Alert is a film based on the Naxalite movement in Andhra Pradesh and is a serious issue in the country.
Ananth explains why he added Omar’s quotes in the end, “Osama is the most violent, wanted and hated man in the world. He is a threat to everyone. On the other hand, his son saying something like this comes as a big surprise.”
He further adds, “If Osama’s son can think about an alternate way, then why can’t we in our country set things in order and solve the problem.”
