Filmmaker Harmesh passes away
The filmaker of Nagina and Nigahen passed away after a brain hemorrage.

Veteran filmmaker Harmesh Malhotra passed away on Wednesday morning at 8.30 am.

He was admitted to the ICU of Lilavati Hospital where he died of brain hemorrhage.

The director-producer was 65 years old.

Harmesh Malhotra had made films like Nagina (1986), starring Sri Devi and Rishi Kapoor, Nigahen (1989), and his lastest films included Dulhe Raja (1998), Ankhiyon se Goli Maare (2002) and Khullam Khulla Pyar Karen (2003).

He was also Chairman of the Film Federation of India (FFI), which selected Paheli as India?s official entry to the 2006 Oscars.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters. His funeral will be held today at 12.30 pm at the Shivaji Crematorium, Shivaji Park, Mumbai.
