Fine-tuning study strategy

BANGALORE: Pearson Education, an education and training service provider conducted one of Bangalore’s largest CET events at the St Joseph’s Indian High School, Vittal Mallya Road.Attended by more than 3,000 students across top schools and colleges in Bangalore, the event was organised to help CET aspirants fine-tune their preparation strategies for the CET and various Entrance exams.The session was led by Dr Arvind Gambheer, a former NASA research scientist and renowned authority on CET preparation.He is the director — academics, Pearsons Education Services.A PhD from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), he has taught over 20,000 students for the CET / AIEEE /IIT-JEE.His CET shortcuts and techniques have become popular for the quick problem-solving and time-saving they offer.Dr Gambheer highlighted the use of smart, simple thinking to solve complex problems from past CET question papers which was greatly appreciated by the masses.Dr Gambheer said on the occasion, “Students preparing for the CET require the right guidance and support to fine-tune their preparation strategies with unique application methods and time-management techniques to secure the stream and seat of their choice, be it in engineering or medicine.” The event rallied round CET aspirants to fine-tune strategies and succeed in the CET and other Entrance exams in the days ahead and covering following topics: ■ Information on various engineering/ medical entrance exams in the country■ How to prepare simultaneously for Board and CET — the balancing factor■ The key differences between Board & CET exams — subjective versus objective■ The art of tackling multiple-choice questions ■ Shortcuts that save upto 66 per cent of time Earlier, the event was presided by Jayadev Gopalakrishnan, senior vice president, Pearson Education, who spoke on the importance of getting into a top-tier professional college for career success and how one’s CET preparation plays a critical part in this process.
