Fisherman swept away

KARWAR: A fisherman was swept away in the sea by heavy tidal waves at Bhatkal fisheries harbor in the afternoon on Saturday, while he was trying to secure his fishing boat at the harbour.With high tidal waves lashing, no one could venture into the sea to protect him though he was visible along with his boat nearly 500 m away from the shore into the sea.The DC said that he had sought the help of Coast Guard to trace the fisherman.Meanwhile the bodies of three tourists from Bangalore, who were swept away in the sea at Honey (Honnebail) Beach on Friday have not been traced yet.
