BANGALORE: Vice-president of Kaggalipura Gram Panchayat, Mallaiah alias Mallesh, and four others were arrested by Harohalli police of Ramanagarm district in connection with a murder case.Alleged of killing one Muniraju, 21, of Halegabbadi near Kaggalipura, the other accused are Rajesh, Puttappa alias Shiva, Chandra and Ashok. Mallesh allegedly gave supari (contract) to the four accused to eliminate Muniraju, as he was in love with Mallesh’s 14-year-old daughter. According to the police, Muniraju and Mallesh’s residences were in the same road and Muniraju was reportedly in love with Mallesh’s daughter. The latter learnt of the former’s interest in his daughter and shifted her to a relative’s house in Mysore. After that too, allegedly, Muniraju was in contact with her over mobile phone. Raged over this, Mallesh gave supari and got him killed. All the four accused and Mallesh have been remanded to judicial custody.
