BHUBANESWAR: Orissa will get five new units of NCC soon, National Cadet Corps Director-General Lt General PS Bhalla said here on Thursday. He was here to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. During the meeting, he said that the NCC was planning 60 new units in the country, five of which would be located in the State. They will be situated at Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Jharsuguda, Bhawanipatna and Nabarangpur.Currently, there are 13 lakh NCC cadets in India and their number will be increased gradually. Plans are on to improve the soft skills of the cadets too.Naveen assured all support to the NCC establishment in the State.
