Fix cut off for nativity certificate

Puducherry Poorviga Kudimakkal Urimai Padhukappu Peravai on Saturday urged the government here to  cancel the recruitment test for Upper Division Clerks (UDC) and senior clerks scheduled to be held on September 30.

In a memorandum to the chief secretary, the association asked the government to announce a cut-off date for issuing nativity certificate to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and Most Backward Classes (MBCs) of Puducherry.

Threatening legal action if the government failed to comply, P Raghupathy, secreratary of the Peravai,  said that instead of announcing a cut-off date, the government machinery was allowing the recruitment of migrants thus depriving the original OBCs and MBCs of Puducherry.
