HYDERABAD: City police on Thursday suspended two constables who were involved in running a flesh trade racket at Old Police Quarters in Golconda. The involvement of the duo came to light after locals reportedly caught one of them red-handed.After the incident came to light, city police commissioner AK Khan on Wednesday asked the Asif Nagar ACP L T Chandrasekhar to inquire into the case and submit a report in a day. Following submission of the report, Khan on Thursday suspended the two constables who were formerly attached with the Golconda police station.The suspended cops -- Vijay Kumar (No 796) and Madhu ( No 4059), were recently transferred to the Abids police station. They, however, did not join duties at the Abids station.The CP also asked Golconda police inspector Syed Jahangir to give an explanation as to how the illegal activity was running unchecked.
