Flood alert sounded in Andhra, Telangana

Hyderabad: Flood alert has been sounded in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with the Godavari river flowing well above the danger mark.

People living in low lying areas of Bhadrachalam and Paloncha districts have been evacuated.

As many as 86 such rescued families have been shifted to rehabilitation centres.

Meanwhile, Meteorological department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in regions of Gujarat, Maharashtra, west Madhya Pradesh and Goa.
