From showing off his chiselled body to lifting a 120 kg bike, John Abraham has done everything for this movie.

Mumbai: From showing off his chiselled body to lifting a 120 kg bike, John Abraham has done everything to match up to Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone in his new film 'Force' to essay the role of ACP Yashvardhan.

"I started shooting for the movie a year back. Nishikant (director) gave me eight months to build my body. He told me he wants a body like Sylvester Stallone... which was difficult. With 'Force', I have set a benchmark," John said.

"I have undertaken special training for this film. I was on diet... My character is supposed to be like a machine, very powerful, one who can lift and break anything," he said.

Talking about the physique of his fellow actors, John said, "Every actor is visually fit and has a presentable body. Actors like Salman, Ajay, Aamir, Hrithik all have wonderful bodies. They are in the industry for a long time and it is incredible that they have maintained themselves so well. It is important to look fit as cinema is a visual medium."

"There were times when I had given up, but it was my trainer who pushed me to the limit. This is probably 70 percent of the right body and I will reach 100 per cent in other film. This is a benchmark... and from here I will go to next level," he said.

Directed by Nishikant Kamath, 'Force' is a remake of the Tamil film 'Khaka Khaka', and also stars Genelia D'Souza.

"I have seen the original and I loved it. The movie has stayed in the mind. Surya has done a brilliant job. There are differences between the two films - in the original he plays a cop while here I play a narcotics officer. The romance portion is the same. But we have converted it into an action film to a large extent," John said.

"I play a narcotics bureau officer, who is totally against drugs. We want to tell young audience that drugs are the most dangerous thing... more than smoking and drinking."

'Force' will hit cinema houses on September 30.
