Four youths held for extortion on NH-5

BHUBANESWAR: The City Police have arrested four youths on charges of extorting money from a commuter  along NH-5 on Tuesday.The youths allegedly stopped a vehicle and demanded money, police said.  However, there was a spin to the story on Wednesday. Sources close to the youths said, the bike which two of them were riding hit a car, belonging to a police officer. When the youths demanded that damage caused to the bike be paid, an altercation ensued with the driver. The youths called in two of their friends and they took the driver to a nearby garage. Soon they ended up in the local police station, charged with extortion.
