Ganja seized, two held

NELLORE: Excise police seized 32 kgs of ganja, worth Rs 85,000 and arrested two persons in this connection at Bhoodham, under Naidupeta mandal on Sunday. The excise team lead by circle inspector, Kareema and sub-inspector, Ankaiah along with their posse were conducting routine checks at Bhoodham check-post when they intercepted a private bus, belonging to Kesineni Travels, going from Vishakapatnam to Chennai and found ganja hidden. Jagadeesh(37) and Lenin(25), who hail from a village near Chennai were questioned. They confessed that they were taking the narcotic to Chennai from Vishakapatnam. A case has been registered and Nellore excise police are investigating.
