With the one-day series against Sri Lanka nears, Gloster?s decision will determine Kaif?s future.
New Delhi: Middle order batsman Mohammed Kaif will consult the team physio John Gloster on his injury in Bangalore today.
A decision on whether he can take part in the forthcoming one-day series against Sri Lanka will be taken only after the team physio makes an assessment of the seriousness of his injury.
"I have a muscle strain and it takes atleast two weeks time to recover from such an injury.? Kaif said.
Kaif had injured himself during the final of the Challenger series against India 'B' and was therefore not picked in the 15-member team for the first two matches for the home series against Sri Lanka.
He said that the upcoming series against Sri Lanka will be a tough one but he was confident that the team would do well.
