BANGALORE: Governor H R Bhardwaj said that he is yet to get the details of the complaint lodged against him in Tilak Marg police station in New Delhi for dropping a case in which Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav and his family members were accused of possessing disproportionate assets. On the sidelines of the International Conference on Adaptive Management of Ecosystems organised by Institute for Social and Change here, Bhardwaj said, “I was in politics for 28 years and I know most of the senior leaders from all the political parties and I have some very good friends among them. Mulayam Singh Yadav is one of them. That does not mean that I have done something wrong. Some persons would have filed a case with some hidden motives. I cannot react till I get to know the contents of the complaint.”It may be recalled that Supreme Court advocate, Vishwanath Chaturvedi, had filed a criminal complaint against Bhardwaj and five others for dropping a disproportionate assets case against Mulayam Singh Yadav and his family members when Bhardwaj was the Union Law minister in exchange for Samajwadi Party’s support in the crucial trust vote in 2008.‘Chandre Gowda is a defector’ Bhardwaj accused Bangalore North MP D B Chandregowda of being a defector. When asked about his reaction to the accusation that Raj Bhavan is trying to influence the judiciary in Yeddyurappa’s case made by Chandregowda on Tuesday, Bhardwaj said, “He is not a senior leader of any party, he is defector. People go on saying things. How can anyone influence the judiciary? I have not tried to do anything of that sort.”
