An alumni team from the Harvard Business School on Tuesday visited the manufacturing centre of the world-famous Jaipur Foot, interacted with disabled people from various parts of India and gifted them tricycles and other aides.
The delegation of 56 alumni - which included people from the US and Britain, South American countries and India - visited the centre at the Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS).
The idea behind the visit was to understand the success story behind the Jaipur Foot and how the low cost and innovately developed artificial limb has been able to serve the needs of a large number of disabled both in India and abroad.
The BMVSS has benefitted 14 lakh disabled people by providing them artificial limbs, said founder and chief patron DR Mehta.
