KOCHI: Toyota Kirloskar Motors has sold 1,561 vehicles during December 2011, registering highest sale in its 11 years operation on a national-level on sales for Nippon Toyota from Kerala.This has earned Kirloskar Motors the status of No 1 Toyota dealer in India. “Of the 1,561 four-wheelers that hit the road from Nippon Toyota, 1,001 were ‘Q class’ genre of Toyota Etios sedan and Liva, which is 65% of the total sales volume, and the rest were shared by Innova, Altis and other models,” said Mr Eldo Benjamin, vice-president, Sales & Marketing, Nippon Toyota. For Nippon, the total car sales for 2010 amounted to 4,473 unit while in 2011, an astounding number of 8,105 was recorded, which means 81 per cent hike in terms of growth in sales.The year 2011 was also a rewarding year for Nippon Toyota as it marked a record sales number of 2,655 for Etios sedan and 1,095 for Etioss Liva hatchback.
