Jaipur: Jaipur is all set to witness India's first wedding in a hot air balloon on Saturday with a priest performing the traditional rituals around 300 feet above the ground.
The ceremony will be a part of the fun fair and wedding Expo IFTA-2006 Shubh Vivah 2006, organised by a Mumbai-based company.
"Sunil Sharma, an executive in an insurance company, and Vandana, a schoolteacher, will exchange vows in the balloon while the priest will chant the vedic mantras," Anoop Srivastav of Entertainment 7 said on Friday.
The wedding ceremony will start at 1730 hrs (IST). A special mandap has been decorated inside the balloon where the priest would solemnise the marriage.
"We have ordered a special hot balloon for the wedding. The balloon would be flagged off amid traditional music," said Srivastav.
On till December 31, the IFTA festival would screen 20 classic comedy films at a special theatre.
