BANGALORE: La Classic Hotel Extraordinaire is going to make a hattrick world record by baking the world’s tallest christmas cake, the longest ice cream dessert and prepare 600 varieties of dishes. This is the first of it’s kind in India.On October 16, which also happens to be World Food Day, the Hotel will make the longest icecream dessert with 800 litres of icecream, 600 kg of fruits, 1000 packets of biscuits, 100 kg of tea cake and many more ingredients.On Christmas eve, a 35- feet tall cake will be baked.It will break the previous record that was created by a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram in 2007, where a 30 foot tall Christmas cake was prepared. The third record will involve the preparation of 600 varieties of food on the New Year’s eve which will beat the previous record of 510 dishes cooked by a hotel in Las Vegas.“We will form four teams of 10 members each who will assist in cooking.In all, 55 employees are involved in making of the record. And, we plan on creating the record within 30 minutes. Around 2 lakhs rupees will be spent on the whole,” said Raja Gopaal Iyer, the Executive Director of the hotel.A health department personnel along with a judge and an assistant from the Guinness Book of World Records will be present during the process.The dessert and food will be distributed to more than 500 invitees and 100 children from poor homes.
