CHENNAI: Belief in godI’m a firm believer in god. He is the positive energy that has been guiding me all through. There have been many instances in life where I had only my parents and god by my side. He is the supreme power with whom I can connect easily. Though I don’t go to the temples every day, I pray at home and experience his presence around me always. I’m a Hindu and perform rituals, but I don’t go overboard because we cannot achieve anything just through such religious practices. One needs to work hard to achieve anything in life with the guidance of god.Understanding of godIt’s a tricky question. People interpret god in different ways. He is a superpower and that’s why we believe in him. We count on him for everything we do. I don’t know if god has any form. I see positive thinking as god. Our subconscious mind is powerful and we follow it. God is our subconscious mind and hence we rely on him. Miracles in lifeI have experienced quite a few miracles in my life, which have made me believe in god more. I invested a chunk of money in a company against the advice of a lot of my friends. I saw it as a golden opportunity and didn’t want to miss it. My cheque was returned due to some problems and I was upset that I missed a good opportunity. But in the next 20 days, that company faced big trouble and shut down. That’s when I realised god is always with me.Pilgrimage sitesI visit Guruvayur in Kerala. I also go to Mookambika temple in Mangalore. I have visited Sabarimala a few times, apart from my ancestral temple.
