RAJAHMUNDRY/VISAKHAPATNAM |: Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu has said that he will prove his honesty and sincerity in people's court.
Asserting that he will not a file petition against the CBI probe in the court, he has, however, said that he will submit his grievances to the High Court along with other respondents as directed by the Supreme Court.Speaking to reporters at Ratnagiri (Annavaram) in East Godavari district on Thursday before leaving for Visakhapatnam, Naidu said that the Congress was trying to gain political mileage from the investigations launched by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He said the Congress had made many such allegations in the past but failed to prove them.
"Congress MLAs and ministers amassed wealth by encouraging corruption and it received ample support from former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy who himself mounted pressure on some bigwigs to invest in or buy shares in their companies," he alleged.Later launching his Rythu Poru Bata at Pedamallam village in Visakhapatnam district, the leader of the opposition said that the state government had failed miserably to sort out the problems of the farming community in the state. ``The crop holiday announced by farmers is a glaring example of the inefficiency of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy,'' he said.Naidu said farmers in the state became victims of exploitation due to the government's policies. He said the chief minister and his colleagues were facing awkward situation at Rachabanda with many women raising their voice against skyrocketing prices of essential commodities and the usefulness of the Re1akg rice scheme when all other essential commodities were beyond their reach.
