IIM-Indore sets up panel to probe dais collapse incident during convocation ceremony

Indian Institute of Management-Indore has constituted a two-member committee to probe the dais collapse incident during its convocation ceremony.

The committee members are former Director General of Police (DGP) SK Das and Chhattisgarh's retired Engineering-in-Chief G M Kripalani, IIM-I spokesperson said.

The panel will probe the cause of the mishap and also give suggestions to the institute's administration for ensuring that such accident does not take place in future. On March 29, prior to the IIM-I's convocation ceremony, the dais set up for the purpose had collapsed when the passouts were preparing for a photo session.
