THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reji R Nair, the reporter of Mathrubhoomi news daily at Kozhikode, and Mahesh Kumar, the correspondent of Manorama News at Kozhikode, have won the ‘Nammude Arogyam’ media awards instituted by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) for print and television respectively for the year 2010-11.The awards constitute a sum of `10,000, a citation and a plaque. Reji won the award for her series of reports on titled, ‘Anyajeevanuthakan Swajeevitham’ on the legal impediments involved in organ transplantation in the country.Mahesh won the award for his series of reports on ‘Marunninumilla Manasakshi’ on the frauds employed by medicine companies. Health Minister Adoor Prakash will distribute the awards on the occasion of 54th state conference of IMA at Nedumangad.
