New Delhi: A team of Indian officials, led by Joint Secretary in the External Affairs Ministry Dileep Sinha, will visit in Islamabad on October 28.
The team will hold official- level talks in Islamabad on October 29.
The focal point of the talks will be issues concerning the coordination and speeding up of earthquake relief work and opening of points at the Line of Control (LoC).
Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam told PTI in Islamabad
"The talks will focus on points to be opened and modalities to be followed.?
India had on Saturday proposed to set up relief centers at three points along the LoC ?Tangdhar, Tithwal and Chakan da Bagh (in Poonch) ?for quake victims of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
In Delhi, External Affairs Ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna told reporters that the proposals forwarded by both the countries "will also be discussed in the talks."
On India's proposal to open three points at the LoC from tomorrow for providing relief to quake victims of PoK, he said "it was not a deadline" but the time was specified as New Delhi wanted to be ready to have the relief centres in position by this date.
"We needed these three days to make them (relief centres) operational. But naturally, work for making these (centres) operational can start only once we receive concurrence from Pakistan, which has not been given as yet,? Sarna said.
