In the morning Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh batted very well. Today the attitude of Ganguly was very good as he played the faster bowler with a lot of confidence aginst whome normally he is not very comfortable. After playing a very good knock he got out to a very ordinary ball.
Ganguly and Yuvraj should have continued their partnership for a little longer but after their deapture Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan, too, played brilliantly. The way Pathan is batting he may soon become a frontline batsman or atleast a good all-rounder.
One thing that Rahul Dravid failed to do in the first innings could now prove very costly. He let Pakistan slip from a precarious position on the first day to score 245, which in my opinion is about 75 runs more than they should have scored. There is always a revival after a collapse but still India let Pakistan score too many runs in the first innings.
Her should have tried part time bowlers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag as both of them have the reputation of breaking partnerships.
Then while batting also we scored about 75 runs less than what we should have. The top order did not apply themselves properly and paid the price. If we add the extra runs that India allowed Pakistan to score and the runs that they did not score while batting it comes to about 150.
If we had got a lead of this much then India would hve been in a very strong position.
Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf have a very good record against India and the way they are batting it could be a very tough task for India to come back in the match. We need another magical spell like the one that Pathan bowled in the first innings.
India should attack and try to pick up early wickets on the third day. Their is going to be a result in the match and at this point it looks that Pakistan have the upper hand.

The second day belonged to Pakistan as clearly they were the better team. They did not allow India to take the lead and then in the second innings their batsmen applied themselves intelligently.
