BANGALORE: The first sign that the legislature session, commencing from June 2, will not be a smooth affair was given by the JD(S) after it decided to boycott the proceedings of both the houses.
Instead, the party will hold mock assemblies all over the state to buttress its argument that the Assembly is a mockery of democracy."The session has no sanctity as the Speaker and the chief minister have been taken to task by the apex court. By participating in the session, we would not like to be party to something that is unethical," JD (S) state president H D Kumaraswamy told reporters here on Monday. The decision to boycott the proceedings was taken in the JD(S) legislature party meeting which was attended by party supremo H D Deve Gowda and other senior leaders.
