Jharkhand Congress' leaders on Sunday suggested that the party should contest the Assembly elections scheduled later this year on its own and should not go for any alliance.
The suggestion was placed during the PCC's extended Working Committee meeting chaired by president Sukhdeo Bhagat, according to a press release. Singh said the suggestion would be intimated to the party high command.
"The final decision on it would be taken by the party high command," the release said quoting Bhagat. The Congress fought the recently concluded three-phased Lok Sabha polls along with ruling allies JMM and RJD.
