Kalburgi to inaugurate literary meet

MANGALORE: Searcher and Nadoja Awardee M M Kalaburgi will preside over the three-day national level Kannada literary meet, Alva’s Nudisiri, in Moodbidri from November 11. Alva’s Education Foundation (AEF) Chairman Dr M Mohan Alva made public their decision on inviting Kalaburgi to chair the prestigious three-day-long national literary and cultural convention at Patrika Bhavan on Monday.Dr Mohan Alva while addressing the gathering said, Kavisamaya, Kavinamana, Matina mantapa, Kathasamaya, among others, were the main attractions of the convention. Elaborating on the Nudisiri programme Alva said, as many as 8,000 including 3,000 volunteers will take part in the convention. In each district a consultative meeting about the literary event had been planned to attract more delegates to the event.Those keen on organising consultative meetings in their district can consult Nudisiri office (08258- 261229, 238104-111). Nudisiri is in its eight edition and the foundation intends to celebrate the decennial year of Nudisiri in a grand way. “Preparations for a global touch for Nudisiri in its tenth edition have begun,” Dr Alva said.
