The passengers of the affected train are being brought to Bengaluru by 7 buses and also by special train from Jolarpet.
The Kanyakumari-Bangalore Express derailed early on Friday morning near Tirupathur in Tamil Nadu. Those injured in the accident have been taken to hospitals. No casualties have been reported in the incident so far.
Medical emergency services are at the location. Four trains have been cancelled following the accident.
