Thiruvananthapuram: A pastor was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl inside the premises of a church in Kottayam. The alleged rape happened on February 23 but the incident came to light only on April 28.
The girl did not inform her parents as she was threatened by the pastor. She was taken to a hospital after she complained of stomach pain and it was discovered that she was one-and-a-half months pregnant.
The Kanjirapally police took pastor Sajan, a resident of Ranni, into custody on Wednesday.
