The Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starrer period film Khelein Him Jee Jaan Sey releases tomorrow. The trade analysts give mixed opinions about the fate of the movie at the box office.
Trade analyst, Amod Mehra says, “Majority of movie-goers today are youngsters and I am not sure whether or not they are interested in watching a patriotic film or rather a film about a historical movement. I think they are not and hence the prospects of ‘Khelein Hum…’ at the box-office looks dull.”
On the contrary, trade expert Vajir Singh has a totally different point of view. Vajir says, “Ashutosh Gowariker’s movie is expected to get a great opening. The trick will be the sustainability. The movie has to gain popularity through the word of mouth. But so far it is looking positive. And I think it will click with the audience as it is a patriotic movie."
Another release of this week is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of Dawn Treader. Vajir confirms, “The Narnia series is not a brand and home production Khelein Hum…. Has no threat from the movie.”
