New Delhi: South Indian film actress Khusboo has filed a criminal case against Sunil Mehra, the editor of Maxim on Monday.
The controversy began after London-based men's magazine Maxim's inaugural Indian edition carried a morphed photograph of her.
The picture has her face pasted over the body of a scantily clad woman.
The management of Maxim has reportedly apologised to Khushboo but she says she will not accept Maxim's apology and wants them to pay for publishing a morphed scurrilous image of her.
"I am still waiting for the publisher to come down. He was supposed to fly down on Friday but he has mailed me saying that he is unwell," Khushboo said.
Apart from suing the magazine for damages, the actress has also filed a defamation case.
"Definitely an apology is not enough. This is not just for them, it is a warning to others that you can't mess with us. Not only me, any other woman for that matter," Khushboo said.
