ALUVA: Today’s kids are emulating the negative traits of their parents which results in them losing their uprightness at an early age, said Ernakulam Arch Diocese Auxiliary Bishop Mar Thomas Chakyath. While inaugurating the valedictory function of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Nirmala English Medium School here on Wednesday, he said it is disheartening to see the general characteristics of grown-ups, such as greed to accumulate wealth and a strong competitive attitude, among the students. “A society growing without adhering to principles and values poses a serious threat. A syllabus that includes spirituality should be encouraged,” he opined. Superior General Mother Smitha presided over the function. Anwar Sadath MLA released the souvenir.
